Chilly Gonzales:
“There’s a place called Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, it’s a very old concert hall from the 1890s that has had very few renovations and updates. It’s essentially in its original form. And what I love about this place is the feeling that when I sit on the piano bench, I can fantasize that maybe my ass is rubbing the same piano bench upholstery as Johannes Brahms when he played there. It’s a way of feeling connected with the past.”
