“There were no tall buildings in my hometown. Not one! I was amazed when they built the first seven-story building there so the first time I saw a skyscraper was when I went to Buenos Aires. There is a very beautiful skyscraper there called the Kavanagh building. It was built in the 1930s, and it’s very handsome, sitting in front of a large green square. I admired it greatly — and I still do.”
