Fallingwater

Winy Maas
Landmark

Winy Maas:

“When I first started studying landscape architecture, I went to a bookstore and bought a book by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright, it had his design of Fallingwater on it — the house he had designed for a client in Pittsburgh, 1935. I wasn’t aware of how famous Wright was at the time and Fallingwater was a huge inspiration. I still find that building beautiful in the way it carries the landscape from the bottom to the top — that was probably one of my first favorite buildings.”
