“I have many favorite buildings but one that I really like is the Lloyds Bank in Buenos Aires by Clorindo Testa. It’s almost like if you design furniture, it’s like a table — the columns or the legs of the table are outside the building and they have this roof and everything hangs down from it. There are no columns in the central part of the building, they are outside the building, outside the facade. When you come into this building, you see an open, transparent lobby space, it’s like it is hanging in the air. It is a very beautiful building.”
